Hydrogen powered canal boat proves the achievability of sustainable transport
Birmingham, September 21st 2007 A zero-emission hydrogen hybrid canal boat has been developed and launched by engineers at the University of Birmingham. It's official: small changes save lives
Small changes make an enormous difference. The World Health Organisation (WHO) is changing its policy for controlling malaria, after studies in Africa found that wider use of insecticide treated mosquito nets cuts infection amongst those most at risk: young children and pregnant women.

Renewable energy 10 times cheaper than 'business as usual'
Amsterdam, 6th July 2007 — Investing in a renewable electricity future will save 10 times the fuel costs of a 'business as usual' fossil-fuelled scenario, saving $180 billion USD annually and cut CO2 emissions in half by 2030, according to a joint report by Greenpeace and the European Renewable Energy Council (EREC) released today.
